Sporty & Rich Taps adidas Originals for Vintage-Inspired Sportswear

adidas Originals and Los Angeles-based label, Sporty & Rich, have teamed up to present their first-ever collaboration.
Taking cues from Sporty’s wellness and self-care ethos, the capsule collection sees the brand offer its fresh take on signature adidas footwear and apparel. Drawing on the aesthetic of vintage sportswear, the collection seeks to convey a holistic message of rest and replenishment through an array of cozy staples and loungewear classics.
Offered in unisex sizing, the collection features archival Trefoil silhouettes and three of adidas‘ most-coveted sneakers like the Campus 80, Samba OG and Stan Smith, each complete with a Sporty & Rich pearl key ring. Elsewhere, the apparel boasts two clean colorways of green and white and burgundy and white, with each piece designed to replicate retro collegiate pieces. The standout piece is undoubtedly the Firebird Tracksuit, revived with a co-branded metal zipper and embroidery.
Each piece is developed with adidas’ signature Beckenbauer Pique fabric and finished with an internal print that boasts Sporty & Rich’s inspirational wellness mantra. Complementing the collection is a glossy campaign, paying tribute to the origins of sport as a whole through dreamy scenes of self-care and indulgence.
Founded by Emily Oberg, Sporty & Rich began as a mood board of aesthetic inspiration, then transformed into a yearly publication, and it’s since gone on to become known for pioneering luxurious loungewear and sportswear designs, plus dropping its first-ever swimwear capsule earlier this year.
