Lana Del Rey's One Billboard for Her Upcoming Album Is Placed in Her Ex's Hometown

Lana Del Rey recently announced she’s releasing a new album titled Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, and like any other artist, she’s promoting the upcoming LP. However, the singer-slash-songwriter has a special way of doing that, apparently. Del Rey only has one billboard for DYKTTATUOB, and it’s strategically placed in her ex-boyfriend’s hometown — Tulsa, OK.
Del Rey took to Instagram to share a selfie featuring the billboard in the background. “There’s only one and it’s in Tulsa,” she captioned the pic along with a skull and crossbones emoji.
She then commented, adding, “It’s. Personal.” Since then, fans have pointed out that the musician is referring to her ex.
DYKTTATUOB is expected to be a personal album as Del Rey previously teased not holding back. “It’s more just like: I’m angry. The songs are very conversational,” she told W in May.
She continued at the time, “For the first song, I pressed record and sang, ‘When I look back, tracing fingertips over plastic bags, I think I wish I could extrapolate some small intention or maybe get your attention for a minute or two.’ It’s a very wordy album. So there’s no room for color. It’s almost like I’m typing in my mind.”
