HBO's 'Euphoria' Has Been Renewed for a Third Season

After the show’s viewership went up nearly 100% from Season 1.

Midway through Season 2 of Euphoria, HBO has decided to renew the hit series for a third season.

“Sam [Levinson], Zendaya, and the entire cast and crew of Euphoria have taken Season 2 to extraordinary heights, challenging narrative convention and form, while maintaining its heart,” Francesca Orsi, Executive VP of HBO Programming, said in a statement. “We couldn’t be more honored to work with this gifted, wildly talented team or more excited to continue our journey with them into Season 3.”

Season 2 of the Emmy award-winning series, starring Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Angus Cloud, Alexa Demie and more, broke the streaming platform’s viewer record since its launch in May 2020. The premiere drew in 2.4 million viewers, which is nine times more than the first season.

Euphoria is currently streaming on HBO Max. New episodes drop every Sunday at 9 p.m. EST.
