Lonely Ape Dating Club is the latest online dating app dedicated to NFT collectors.
Riding on the recent NFT and cryptocurrency craze, Year 4000 (Y4K) — a group of hackers and NFT collectors — created the platform that integrates web3 with the online dating space. Instead of entering their personal interests, users can connect to the app by linking their crypto wallets. Once logged in, the platform allows users to display their net worth and NFT portfolio, as well as filter potential matches by net worth of cryptocurrency and NFTs in their wallets. The upcoming app, which is kicking off with the owners of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFTs, also includes a “match-to-earn” feature where users can earn tokens for engaging with others.
