Moncler and YEEZY Designer Dingyun Zhang Present "Underwater Futurism"
The collection of outerwear takes inspiration from the depths of the ocean.
YEEZY-approved designer DingYun Zhang has partnered with Moncler to release “Underwater Futurism,” a highly artistic collection of outerwear. The collaboration seamlessly blends Moncler’s signature puffed silhouettes with Zhang’s futuristic aesthetic. Using thermo-glued irregular quilting to achieve its unique textured look, the collection is comprised of essential outerwear in the form of coats, vests and cropped blousons and is joined by leggings, bike shorts and ultra-padded face masks to provide your face with extra warmth and protection. Inspired by a natural color palette, the assortment of garments arrive in neutral shades of brown and sand, complimented by soft hues of green and blue with pops of abstract patterns for an extra edge.
The emerging designer brings his Chinese heritage to the range, infusing the launch with adjustable Chinese-style buttons, along with functional details like hidden zippers and thumb-holes for those cozy days. The voluminous coats and puffer vests take on a sculptural shape as the garments float around the wearer’s body, using jellyfish and exotic sea creatures as muses.
