The ’00s-inspired look even has its own Instagram account.

Miuccia Prada is killing it this Spring/Summer 2022 season, with her ’00s-inspired Miu Miu set taking over fashion editorials and social media feeds. The outfit has become so popular that it’s even received its very own Instagram account, @miumiuset.

Miu Miu’s SS22 runway went viral upon its debut in October 2021, with micro-mini skirts and ultra-cropped tops. As anticipated, the collection looks quickly became a favorite among editors, stylists, celebrities and influencers alike. Riding on this wave, Miu Miu revealed a star-studded campaign for this release, featuring Hailey Bieber, Squid Game star Lee Yoo-mi, Emma Corrin and more.

Since then, the famous Miu Miu set has appeared on the red carpet and in fashion editorials. Just yesterday, i-D revealed a photoshoot in which Paloma Elsesser is dressed in the cropped set. In late January, Dazed Korea released a genderless editorial featuring model Yugo Takano in the outfit. Zendaya donned the same look for her Interview Magazine feature, as did Nicole Kidman for Vanity Fair. We also can’t forget about Peter Do team members Jessica Wu and Vin Ho recreating the look for Halloween.

Twitter is also filled with memes about the Miu Miu set. One user describes the outfit to be “passed around like a blunt,” while others have tweeted: “The sisterhood of the traveling Miu Miu miniskirt set.” We’re not surprised that Fashion Nova has created its own knockoff version of the look.
