Miu Miu Redefines Corporate Chic With Micro-Mini Skirts
Styled with an upcoming New Balance 574 collaboration.
The final day of Paris Fashion Week was filled with highlight shows of the season, including a business-themed presentation by Miu Miu. For the Spring/Summer 2022 season, the Prada sister label brought back Y2K-style micro-mini skirts while revealing a New Balance 574 collaboration.
The show opened with a clip of life-sized stethoscopes wowing the audience on stage. Transitioning to the physical runway, the presentation began with Miu Miu-branded underwear peeping above low-rise trousers and a knit sweater. Knee-length shorts were highlighted with frayed hems, accompanying oversized shirts styled with bold jewelry. Throwing back to the ’00s, Miuccia Prada unveiled a series of micro-mini skirts that were paired with similarly micro-mini tops barely covering the bust. The corporate-chic looks were contrasted with floral embellishments on skirt suits.
As for footwear, slouchy socks complemented loafers and heels, as well as sneakers — a relatively new territory for Miu Miu. The New Balance 574 appeared in beige and white colorways with distressed details on the upper. Both of the tonal kicks were complete with gum outsoles and co-branded tags on the tongue.
