Marni Adds Scribbles to Veja's Sustainable Sneakers
Channeling the Italian fashion brand’s playful aesthetic.
For its latest collaboration, Veja has tapped Marni to add colorful scribbles to its sustainable sneakers.
The team-up is comprised of two silhouettes. The V-10, a low-top model, is covered in pink and red hues channeling Marni’s free-spirited aesthetic. The scribbled motif continues on the heel, where Veja and Marni’s logos are written.
Meanwhile, the partnership debuts the V-15, a high-top sneaker featuring Veja’s signature V motif on the sides. This pair bears more of a color-blocked aesthetic with shades of orange, yellow, black and blue throughout. Similar to the V-10, the kicks are complete with the duo’s logos on the rear.
As a continuation of Veja’s commitment to sustainability, both pairs are made with tested and REACH-compliant leathers while using a tanning process that produces less water waste. The soles are crafted with 31% Amazonian rubber, 22% rice waste and 12% recycled rubber.
