Meet the Sustainable Brand Making Activewear Out of Wood
ARMEDANGELS just launched its first activewear line, and it’s good for the planet, too.
Sustainable fashion label ARMEDANGELS is targeting your gym clothes now. The Cologne-based brand just unveiled a fashion-forward activewear line with an eco-friendly twist, proving performance gear can turn heads without compromising the planet.
Traditional activewear relies heavily on synthetic fabrics that can cause long-term harm to the environment. ARMEDANGELS challenges this status quo with a wood-derived material sourced from controlled forests and manufactured via a closed-loop system where over 99.8 percent of solvents are recycled. The naturally breathable, moisture-controlling lyocell provides a buttery-soft texture, while the minimal elastane gives just enough stretch and shape retention.
Engineering plays a crucial role in this collection. Ditching traditional cut-and-sew patterns, the label knits each garment directly to shape. This seamless construction drops fabric waste down to 15.38 percent — roughly 42 percent less waste than conventional legging assembly. Visually, the collection is understated and sleek, featuring dynamic design lines, subtle rib details, and a discreetly integrated “A” logo within the knit structure.
Designed for everyday movement, the line effortlessly transitions from morning stretches to Pilates sessions and coffee runs. The capsule features four versatile colorways — Black, Dusty Stone, Dark Burgundy, and Mars Red — crafted for mix-and-match styling.
The new ARMEDANGELS Activewear collection is available to purchase now on the ARMEDANGELS website and select retailers.
