Wendy Williams Updates Fans on Her Health and Battle With Wells Fargo
“Give me about three months. There are private things that I have to deal with and then I’ll be ready to come back.”
Wendy Williams recently appeared on Good Morning America, where she updated fans on her health and legal situation with Wells Fargo following the end of Season 13 of her eponymous talk show.
Williams told host T.J. Holmes that all is well: “Health is [great], and I’ve actually had a few appointments. You know, I’m 57 now. And I have the mind and body of a 25-year-old.” The talk show host also addressed her lawsuit with Wells Fargo, which happened earlier this year. She said: “They say that I need somebody to handle my account, and I don’t want that.” Williams continued: “I want all my money. I want to see all my money that I worked hard for my entire life. I don’t lie, I don’t cheat and I don’t steal. I am an honest, hard-working person.” According to legal documents, the bank submitted a request for conservatorship based on grounds that she might be “[a] victim of undue influence and financial exploitation.”
Williams also touched upon her absence from her talk show, to which she claimed: “I want to spend more time with my family. And you know, working out my money situation [with] Wells Fargo. I’ve worked hard every single day, even on days when you know, I might have a little cold.” The talk show host added: “If I was sick because you know, my back—or when I got the lymphedema and stuff like that—I would still do my show. But very quickly, it went bad regarding this money thing.”
In addition, Williams mentioned her eagerness to get back to work and has told fans to give her time to recuperate: “Give me about three months. There are private things that I have to deal with and then I’ll be ready to come back. Keep watching because I will be back on the Wendy Show bigger and brighter than ever.”
