A$AP Rocky Arrested in LA Over Alleged Shooting in 2021
Right after landing at LAX from his recent trip to Barbados with Rihanna.
A$AP Rocky was arrested on April 20 at Los Angeles Internation Airport due to his connection with a shooting that occurred in November 2021. According to NBC News, the rapper and Rihanna flew in from Barbados — where the both of them visited last weekend — on a private plane.
The artist was sent to jail at 12:42 p.m. PST with bail set at $550,000 USD, as per the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department’s report. Three hours after, A$AP Rocky’s bail was posted and was given a court date scheduled for August 17. The LAPD states that the star is the suspect in a shooting that occurred near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenu on November 6, 2021. The victim claimed that the rapper came up to him with a handgun accompanied by two other individuals and “shot him three to four times,” one of which grazed his left hand.
This isn’t the first time the artist has been involved in legal issues. In 2019, he was arrested in Sweden for an alleged physical altercation. A$AP Rocky served a month in prison and paid $1,000 USD in damages.
