Gigi Hadid Links up With Frankies Bikinis for "Americana" Collection
Flirty and feminine silhouettes inspired by the model’s farming roots in Pennsylvania.
Frankies Bikinis has teamed up with the one and only Gigi Hadid for a swimwear and loungewear collection dubbed “Americana.”
“Gigi is someone that is so special and so inspiring to me,” said the brand’s founder and creative director Francesca Aiello. “She is creative, hard-working, kind and loving, and combining those incredible personality traits with our deep-rooted friendship is what really made this collection not only fun to create together but also to shoot together.” Hadid added: “We designed this collection with so much love, and I believe that really shines through in the details within the fabrics, prints and styles we chose to use. Both Frank and I have very social lives but also are big homebodies, and the collection really embodies that side of us.”
Inspired by the model’s farming roots in her Pennsylvania family home, the range is dominated by bows and ruffles, as well as toile, floral and plaid prints. One standout print arrives in the form of a tree trump found in the toile print, which symbolizes Hadid and Aiello’s friendship. As for the designs, drop one will include the label’s signature one-pieces, bikinis, leggings, a tube top and more.
Drop one of Gigi Hadid x Frankies Bikinis’ “Americana” line will be available on May 11 online, while the second drop will release on June 2.
