Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Partners with GIABORGHINI for Drop Three

Debuting sunglasses and leather handbags.

Italian footwear brand GIABORGHINI continue its creative collaboration with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, unveiling its third capsule of sculptural shoes for the summer. The third drop is GIA/RHW first foray into sunglasses and handbags, expanding the brand’s offerings.

Huntington-Whiteley shares in an exclusive press release, “This was my first-time designing eyewear and carryalls, but I’ve been mood boarding and visualizing this for the last ten years! When the time came, I had a keen sense of direction and clear vision of what this collection would look like.”

The collaboration’s venture into eyewear amplifies the supermodel’s personal penchant for luxuriously oversized sunglasses, which are juxtaposed by soft and feminine spring colors varying from “Sage” to “Peach” and “Amber.” Joining the range of new eyewear are a carefully considered capsule of small leather goods designed to enhance the modern woman’s wardrobe. The must-have essentials include cases for both the iPhone and Airpod Pros, as well as an ultra-chic Belt Bag. The latest drop also features the Doctor Bag and the Small Bag, which can be used as carryalls. The stunning Wooden Clutch, without a doubt, catches the eye as it arrives in a smooth marble finish. Well-suited for a night on the town, the one-of-a-kind accessory can also be used as a design object in the home, a concept born from Borghini and Huntington-Whiteley’s shared love for modern interiors.

The multi-hyphenate creative explains the inspiration for the collection over email, saying, “I was inspired by everyday women around me. Whether it’s my girlfriends, women I work with or see on Instagram, on the streets. We wanted to create something chic, yet practical by design, for someone who is on the go and needs hard working accessories for their modern lives. Something fun and different that makes a statement and compliments the minimal look.”

“In terms of materials, Barbara and I share a passion for interior design, so naturally we looked at different spaces that inspire us. Translated into this collection you’ll find materials like travertine, marble, linen, radica wood, which are quite unexpected to use in accessories, but we loved the challenge and the team worked so hard to find the right artisans in Italy to achieve the most beautiful quality.”

Presenting luscious green sandals, boasting a hybrid wedge and stiletto heel, alongside elevated baby pink thong kitten heels, which also arrive in a neutral white and tan. A color-blocked iteration featuring a red sole and white straps steals the show. Elsewhere, a chunky yellow option makes its bold entrance, while a flat mint green slide offers both comfort and style. More sensible choices include strappy flats offered in black and white, next to a beach-ready espadrille shoe. Taking a cue from nature GIABORGHINI”s latest launch showcases a lamb leather sandal adorned with a smooth stone at the toe for extra oomph.
