Wood Wood's Pre-Fall 2022 Lookbook Takes Inspiration From '90s Grunge

Inspired by the likes of Pearl Jam and Nirvana.

Wood Wood unveiled its Pre-Fall 2022 lookbook, inspired by the DIY aesthetic of the ’90s. Citing influences like Pearl Jam and Nirvana, the collection draws from the music scene in Seattle.

Made up of oversized suits, sheer dresses and boxy jackets, the collection fuses the ’90s homegrown design with modern day silhouettes. Drawing on the zine-style influence of the time, the lookbook sees glitchy prints take center stage on the apparel through thermal imaging and wavy checks.

Standout pieces for pre-fall include the lightweight Tuli Dress and Emma Long-Sleeve, both made with a see-through cotton fabric with an all over eye print. Alongside these are the Madeline Blazer, the Sadie Trousers and the Abigail Shorts – all of which are adorned in a puppy-tooth printed wool fabric. The final piece is the Dana Biker Jacket, made from a supple sandy leather in order to juxtapose the edgy and the ultra-femme.

Wood Wood’s Pre-Fall collection comes shortly after the label collaborated with Italian sportswear brand FILA for a ’70s-inspired tennis collection.
