The show has also relocated to London.

While fans patiently wait for the official release date of You Season 4, Penn Badgley has teased an important detail about the show.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the lead actor revealed that the series’ genre will see a shift. “The tone is similar but it’s shifting in that there is a different format,” Badgley said. “We’re using a different format. “It’s almost like we’re shifting the genre slightly. And I think it works.”

For those who are caught up, Season 3 ended with Joe Goldberg traveling to Paris. However, according to Badgley, the series won’t exactly be taking place in the City of Love. Instead, the show is relocating to London. Badgley explained why Netflix decided to choose London over Paris with the reason being that “it’s cheaper.”

In addition to the Gossip Girl alum reprising his role, Tati Gabrielle will also be returning as Marianne, which Badgley confirmed himself. “There are also some other familiar faces which I think I can [say],” he said.

Stay tuned while we wait for Netflix to confirm You Season 4’s premiere date.
