Even Megan Fox Is Against the Return of Low-Rise Jeans
The actor talks Y2K style and what inspired her latest Boohoo collab.
Y2K trends may be back, but Megan Fox is not here for it. In fact, just like the majority of us, she’s especially dreading the return of low-rise jeans.
“If I had it my way, they wouldn’t come back,” she told Refinery29 about the return of the early aughts. She then elaborated on why low-rise jeans aren’t a practical all-day outfit. “It doesn’t matter where you’re at, I think every woman is like ‘I just ate lunch and I’m not going to be in these low-rise jeans and a crop top.’ It’s not an outfit to wear all day.”
Fox’s love for fashion can be seen in her latest collaboration with Boohoo. For the collection, the Jennifer’s Body star drew inspiration from herself, particularly from one of her Euphoria-inspired looks. Additionally, she included some 2000s staples in the collab, such as bandeau tops and bustiers.
“I’ve been talking a lot about the idea of joy and playfulness, and I think that’s something that I would want women to experience when they’re getting dressed with the clothes,” she said. “It is obviously about body confidence but the idea of genuinely having fun, like having joy and a playful, childlike nature, when you’re getting dressed and expressing yourself.”
