Kristen Stewart Revives the Nostalgic Mullet Trend

A sharp but fun change for the actor.

Kristen Stewart has waved goodbye to her beach blonde days and updated to a fiercely chopped, ’90s nostalgia mullet.

In an Instagram photo posted by Stewart’s fiancée, Dylan Meyer, the Spencer star revealed her new brunette choppy haircut. Meyer captioned the post “Accidental, party on Wayne,” which is a play on words regarding Stewart’s resemblance to Wayne (Mike Myers) from Wayne’s World. Not only did Stewart darken her hair, but she also swapped out her loose blond waves for a choppy mullet with messy micro bangs for a throwback appeal.

Stewart’s new hairstyle is mostly covered up by a baseball cap in the photo, but the cut is a major leap from the Princess Diana phase we’ve been seeing her in the last several months. This dark return is reminiscent of her Twilight days as Bella, to which we haven’t seen her natural hair on full display in years, making the shift back to expensive brunette even more exhilarating.

We’re not sure if this is a permanent change, but we are ready to see more of what Stewart will do with this look and color. See more of Stewart’s return to dark brown below.
