RM of BTS Plans To Open Art Space in Korea

An art cafe we would definitely travel to.

RM of BTS has announced his plans to open his own exhibition space in Korea. Earlier this week, The New York Times published an interview highlighting RM as an art sponsor.

The singer has a clear love for art as the article reports the musician loaned a sculpture by Kwon Jin-gyu to the Seoul Museum of Art last year, in addition to donating 100 million won to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. A lifelong collector of valuable objects, RM has been gathering stamps, coins, Pokemon cards, rare stones, and toy figures since childhood. Reportedly, the artist owns more than 20 works by by major 20th century Korean writers.

“In particular, we are collecting works by artists of a generation that experienced the Korean War, the dictatorship of national history, and tremendous economic instability. These artists are not too well known in other countries,” RM shared in an interview.

Stay tuned for updates.
