TikTok has birthed yet another beauty hack. Enter the #oneminutemullet, a low-effort haircut that gives you just the right amount of soft layers.
The “soft serve mullet,” rocked by celebrities including Rihanna and Doja Cat, is fairly simple to recreate — using a pair of scissors, cut through the top of your ponytail and then along the bottom in a straight line. Once finished, your hair should be transformed into a softly layered mullet. The trend has taken over the social media platform, with #oneminutemullet boasting nearly 75 million views and #mullet reaching over 2.7 billion views.
Like many other viral hacks, not all users have found the trick useful. However, TikTokers such as @effervescingelephant have nailed the ‘do (her tutorial reached nearly four million views at the time of writing).
