Adidas and SOUL CAP Are on a Mission To Make Swimming More Accessible

The duo debuts an inclusive swim cap to cater to a range of hair lengths and sizes.

adidas taps London-based brand SOUL CAP for meaningful collaboration to make swimming more accessible. The duo has released a range of swim caps that can cater to different hair lengths and sizes.

“We’re excited to collaborate with SOUL CAP to jointly tackle one of swimming’s biggest barriers: accessibility,” adidas’ Global General Manager Specialist Sports Celine Del Genes shared in a press release. “We’re driven to make the water a more fun, inclusive and social space and this partnership is another step forward in making that ambition a reality for all.”

The partnership aims to increase access and inclusivity in swimming. It’s also a mission that resonates with SOUL CAP’s origin. In 2017, founders Michael Chapman and Toks Ahmed took up adult swimming lessons and learned every swimmer, regardless of hairstyle, wore the same size of swim caps. It inspired Chapman and Ahmed to create a more inclusive design.

The adidas x SOUL CAP swim cap is made from 100% silicone that ensures a comfortable fit for any wearer. It is also built with extra space to provide the right fit to keep long and voluminous hair dry and healthy through every swim session. Grounded in an exclusive linen green colorway, the lineup arrives in a variety of sizes from children’s sizes in Regular L to adult sizes in Regular XXL.

Take a detailed look at the design in the gallery above. The adidas x SOUL CAP swim cap is now available at adidas’ store.
