Saint Laurent Embraces Radical Fluidity in SS23 Collection

Anthony Vaccarello brings back Parisian glamour to the runway.

Saint Laurent returned to Paris Fashion Week with its Spring/Summer 2023 collection. Showcased underneath the beam of the Eiffel Tower, creative director Anthony Vaccarello presented a range of floor-length dresses and masculine outerwear that captures true Parisian glamour.

For this season, Vaccarello combined an essential attitude with the ultra-refined, elongated silhouette presented during the preceding season. The hooded chiffon dresses became the collection’s main star and served a casual connotation to several looks. Its elegant ease is contrasted with a series of wool coats, leather bombers and trench that harks back to the creative director’s signature styling. Elsewhere, sheer tank dresses, cashmere pants, and pajama-inspired satin looks are admired for their sense of effortless sophistication.

Muted colors like black, white, gray, maroon and mauve dominated the color palette while hints of blue, brown, green and chartreuse were also seen on the runway. The presentation also welcomed notable guests like Kate Moss, Amber Valletta, BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Korean actress Lee Ho-jung.
