Harrods Launches LABELHOOD Pop-Up for Lunar New Year
Alongside a Spring festival afternoon tea inspired by the Year of the Rabbit.
Harrods just announced its celebration of the Lunar New Year, kicking things off with a partnership with Shanghai’s LABELHOOD.
The cultural community aims to nurture emerging Chinese designers, and through Harrods ‘Hive’ incubator program, the collective continues to offer its new brands to the luxury retailers’ community. Launched back in 2020, LABELHOOD’s Family Portrait Studio aims to celebrate the rituals of the traditional festival, which Harrods will host in the U.K. for the first time ever.
Within the studio, Harrods consumers are invited to the store’s fifth floor to shop a curated selection of products from LABELHOOD and its young Chinese designers. The immersive space is also set to play host to photography sessions for visitors, hoping to capture their family and ‘chosen family’ portraits to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
In addition to the pop-up space, Harrods is hosting an exclusive Spring Festival afternoon tea, inspired by the Year of the Rabbit. Collaborating with the retailer’s expert chefs, the specially-designed menu offers a range of treats for the festive occasion.
The LABELHOOD pop-up will be available to visit until February 5, with the Spring Festival Tea on offer at Harrods Tea Rooms until Easter.
