UPDATE: Selena Gomez Confirms She's Single Amidst Drew Taggart Dating Rumors
The supposed relationship would be Gomez’s first known romance since Justin Bieber.
Selena Gomez has set the record straight on those dating rumors, as she shared an Instagram story which said “#iamsingle” and that she “likes being alone too much.”
The singer was previously linked to The Chainsmokers frontman Drew Taggart, after a source discussed their relationship with Us Weekly. “They aren’t trying to hide their romance by sneaking around at members only clubs,” the source explained, adding that the pair have been “very casual and low-key.” They’ve reportedly been “having a lot of fun together, going bowling and to the movies” and Gomez seems to be “so affectionate” and unable to keep her hands off Taggart, the source adds.
For Gomez, her relationship with the rockstar appeared to be the first public romance for her since calling it quits with Justin Bieber, a breakup which she opened up about in her recent documentary. For Taggart, the relationship comes four months after he broke up with Steve Jobs’ youngest daughter, Eve. The breakup is said to be “totally amicable,” according to the same source, who confirmed that the now-exes still remain friends.
