Lisa Marie Presley, Daughter of Elvis and Priscilla, Dies at Age 54
After being rushed to the hospital due to a possible cardiac arrest.
Lisa Marie Presley, the singer-songwriter who is also the daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, has died at the age of 54.
Priscilla Presley confirmed the news in a statement reading, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Presley was taken to the hospital after a possible cardiac arrest on Thursday, January 12. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department had shared that paramedics arrived in Calabasas after receiving a call about a woman in her 50s who was not breathing. She was then rushed to the hospital for “immediate medical care.”
Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968. Her father Elvis died in August 1977 when she was 9 years old. In October 1988, she married musician Danny Keough, with whom she shared a daughter named Riley and a son named Benjamin. The two divorced in May 1994, and less than a month later, Presley tied the knot with Michael Jackson, though the relationship ended two years later. In 2000, she was engaged to Hawaiian-born musician John Oszajca, and later wed Nicolas Cage in a secret ceremony in Hawaii. The two split less than four months after. In 2006, Presley was married to Michael Lockwood and gave birth to their twin daughters Harper and Finley. The two then filed for divorce in 2016.
Our deepest condolences are with everyone affected by the death.
