The Nike Air More Uptempo "OG" Is Making a Return This Year
Following its latest release in 2020.
Nike‘s Air More Uptempo “OG” will be returning in 2023.
The sneaker was originally released in 1996 and was most recently seen in 2020. Arriving in the original black-and-white theme, the kicks feature black nubuck on the base of the upper, which is contrasted with “AIR” branding outlined in white. Further contrast is found on the Swooshes on the heel, footbed and outsole.
The Air More Uptempo “OG” was famously worn by NBA star Scottie Pippen during the Chicago Bulls’ 1995-1996 championship season. It saw a new release 10 years after, which was then followed by launches in 2010, 2016 and 2020.
While Nike has yet to announce the official re-release details for the Air More Uptempo “OG,” which is expected in the coming month, the footwear giant is also expected to drop a slide version of the sneaker — the Air More Uptempo Slides.
Aside from the “OG” kicks, Nike has a slew of sneaker releases on the way including its Lunar New Year lineup as well as the Jordan Brand SS23 Retro collection.
