Celebrate Lunar New Year With These Sneaker Releases
Ringing in the Year of the Rabbit.
Lunar New Year, celebrated by various cultures and countries across Asia, is one of the biggest holidays of the year. In celebration of the Year of the Rabbit, footwear giants are preparing for a prosperous new year with sneakers inspired by bunnies on a wide range of their sneaker models.
The majority of shoes revealed so far are from Nike, although we’re expecting more releases to come from other brands as we get closer to the Lunar New Year holiday. The Swoosh will be rolling out a new iteration of the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2 in a neutral palette of pistachio green and mocha brown, which is also splashed onto the Jordan Legacy 312.
Elsewhere, as a celebration of the Year of the Rabbit, the footwear giant has added fuzzy red-and-blue Swooshes to the Dunk Low, as well as the Air Force 1 Low ”Leap High” and Dunk High. Meanwhile, New Balance has launched updated versions of its 2002R, 574, 550 and 90/60 silhouettes with Lunar New Year-themed details.
