Jodie Turner-Smith Files for Divorce
After proposing to Joshua Jackson in 2018.
According to People, British actor and model Jodie Turner-Smith filed for divorce in the “Los Angeles Superior Court after more than three years of marriage.”
The celebrity couple has garnered much media attention as they’ve been known for breaking gender roles and relationship stereotypes. For context, the couple wedded in 2019 after a one-night stand and the Queen & Slim star joked on Late Night with Seth Meyers, ”We’re in a two, three-year one-night stand now.”
The divorce news comes as a shock to many as the couple recently made an appearance for Turner-Smith’s 37th birthday, and also attended New York Fashion Week events together. A reason for the divorce filing has yet to be shared.

However, celebrity couple enthusiasts claim to have spotted this coming seeing as Turner-Smith was the one who proposed. In July of 2021, Jackson revealed that Jodie proposed on New Year’s of 2019 and it was “incredibly romantic,” and since, fans have been skeptical. After the divorce news broke, one Twitter user wrote “Nothing good comes out of a relationship when it’s clear the woman loves her man more than he loves her.” Another wrote, “Jodie Turner-Smith was too good for that man, sorry.”
