Hiroshi Fujiwara and Converse Want You to Customize Your Kicks

From Build-a-Bear to Build-a-Pair.

Japanese streetwear designer and musician, Hiroshi Fujiwara, already has a longstanding history with Converse — and the latest instalment of the duo’s partnership might just be its most exciting one yet.

The “godfather of streetwear” has once again joined forces with the global footwear brand, revisiting his previous One Star partnership with a new vision. Leaning into the ethos of his fragment design label, Fujiwara and Converse have announced a new FRGMT x Converse By You Chuck 70 initiative.

Allowing customers to personalize products from fragment design, the initiative enables buyers to customize either the Converse Chuck 70 Hi or the Low, reviving its canvas upper with six shades of blue or pink in reference to the designer’s previous partnerships with Converse. Elsewhere, footwear fanatics will be able to reimagine the shoe’s medial and lateral panels with houndstooth prints, alongside adding fragment’s signature lightning bolt in two colors.

Finally, customers will be able to select one of two Converse Chuck patches alongside customize the shoe’s pinstripe and midsole with different colors and prints.

The FRGMT x Converse By You kicks will be available for purchase and customization for seven days only via Converse, starting on February 9.
