Kendall Jenner Brings 818 Tequila to the UK
Here’s how to get your hands on it.
Kendall Jenner‘s multi-award-winning tequila brand, 818 Tequila, has finally landed in the U.K.
Sustainably produced, 818 is set to be one of “the smoothest tequilas on the market,” allowing it to be enjoyed in a cocktail or on its own. Named after the area code of Jenner’s Calabasas home, the brand works with a family-owned distillery and offers three varying expressions including Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. Each blend is crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave and hand-picked by skilled jimadores from Jalisco, Mexico.
One of the few food and beverage businesses within the KarJenner empire, Jenner’s 818 Tequila utilizes traditional processes in Mexico, resulting in agaves that are slow-cooked for over 30 hours and then crushed with large stone Tahona wheels. The agaves then undergo a 48-hour fermentation process before being twice-distilled in copper pots and aged in oak barrels.
“I can’t wait for people across the UK to experience the magic of 818 Tequila. We’re arriving in London just in time for the start of spring, and I know everyone will love our delicious tequila when they try it,” says founder Kendall Jenner in a press release.
In line with Jenner’s sustainable beliefs, the business operates a responsible supply chain which aims to help reduce its impact on the environment. Its distillery runs on biomass and solar, with bottles made from recycled glass and additional packaging certified by the Forest Stewardship Council. The brand has also partnered with s.a.c.r.e.d. (which stands for Saving Agave for Culture, Recreation, Education and Development) for a community support program in Mexico which aims to transform agave waste and its by-products into usable building materials.
Jenner’s 818 Tequila is now available for purchase through the Whisky Exchange, Master of Malt and other specialty drinks retailers. The drink will also be available to order in London restaurants like Barrio, The Savoy and Isabel Mayfair.
