Yayoi Kusama Is Set to Open a New "Infinity Room" in New York
Here’s what we know.
Yayoi Kusama is set to open an all-new exhibition at New York‘s David Zwirner galleries. In line with Kusama’s previous sell-out shows, the new exhibit — titled “I Spend Each Day Embracing Flowers,” will likely see hundreds of hopeful art enthusiasts waiting in line.
The acclaimed Japanese artist’s solo show, which is set to be her “largest gallery exhibition to date,” marks the tenth anniversary since Kusama first showcased at David Zwirner and will include a new “Infinity Room.” Akin to Kusama’s highly-instagrammable works like Pumpkins and her previous Mirror Infinity Rooms, we expect the new iteration will be worth queuing for. The showcase will also see Kusama presenting a new series of paintings and sculptures centered around her signature floral motifs and pumpkin pieces.
I Spend Each Day Embracing Flowers will feature in David Zwirner’s West 19th and West 20th Street galleries in New York from May 12. Head to David Zwirner’s website for more information.
