Megan Thee Stallion Gives an Update on Forthcoming Music
“I can’t wait for everyone to hear,” says the rapper.
Megan Thee Stallion may have just released her sophomore studio album, Traumazine, in August 2022, but she’s already working on new music.
In a deeply personal as-told-to essay for Elle, she opened up about her life since Tory Lanez‘s guilty verdict in December 2022. Megan, who no longer calls herself a victim but a survivor, explained that she’s finally entered a new chapter in her life after being shot in 2020, which is now sparking her creativity.
She said, “I was once told that you can’t have crucifixion without resurrection, and that statement resonated so deeply with me. This is a rebirth of a happier and healthier me. I’m a survivor and I have — and will continue — to embrace the highs and lows of my journey. I’m excited to get back into music because I have been so transformed. I’m playing around with new songs and new sounds that I can’t wait for everyone to hear.”
