Remember we told you that there are many ways to elevate the ponytail? Well, Yara Shahidi‘s latest display of the coveted hairstyle proved our theory right.
The star took to Instagram to show off the most ethereal curly braided pony. If you needed another alternative to goddess braids, a purposely tangled protective hairstyle but without the fuss, try this look Shahidi pulled off. Created by hairstylist Rio Sreedharan, he ensured the star took the moment at Dior‘s runway show in Mumbai. The style started with the classic and smooth slick back, bursting into a ponytail with left-out tendrils and boho braiding, creating a feast of textured curls. What makes the look the most is her subtle baby hairs that give the perfect effect of “undone” yet done.
For those with textured tresses, this style will only last three to four days max, depending on how well you manage your haircare while you sleep, but it’s worth trying for a quick get up and go look and it’s devilishly simple to achieve.
