See BLACKPINK's Jennie Star in Chanel's 22 Bag Film

Following on from Jennie‘s appearance in Chanel’s 22 Bag campaign imagery, the BLACKPINK star returns for the brand’s official campaign film.
Once again shot by Inez and Vinoodh, the film sees Jennie in a “traditional Hanok home” that was “beautifully modernized,” according to the duo. “We wanted to set this imaginary JENNIE against a backdrop that was less realistic, and more fantastical. Her character has fabulous animated wings in the video making it even more magical.”
Speaking about her involvement in the film, Jennie added that “Working with Inez and Vinoodh is always a pleasure. We had lots of conversations about how they wanted to express who I am in this campaign. They mixed Virginie’s and my vision perfectly and made it ‘Chanel’. They studied me in detail and their dedication really motivated me. It was Inez and Vinoodh’s first time in Korea and I hope they have only happy memories!”
“JENNIE has an amazing career and the incredible work ethic that comes with being a K-pop star, where perfection, patience, endurance, and responsibility are essential. Together we agreed there are other sides to her we don’t see,” explained the directing duo in a press release.
“We all know her amazing image as a performer, but sometimes there is imperfection, chaos, fun, and uncontrollable joy – like every human being. It’s all about finding that balance. We decided to visualize those elements as a ‘second JENNIE’, almost like an imaginary, fairylike version of her. It’s about these two sides of a human being and letting the chaos happen: it’s about happiness, not just perfection,” they added.
