Gorillaz Announce Mini US Stadium Tour 'The Getaway Shows' Kicking Off in September

With support by Kaytranada, Lil Yachty and Remi Wolf.

Gorillaz are returning to the stage. The animated band, comprised of singer 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, drummer Russel Hobbs and guitarist Noodle, has taken to social media to announce they will be embarking on a mini tour in four major U.S. cities.

“Gorillaz are on the run … one band, one bus, four cities,” read a caption for an Instagram post. “With special guests Kaytranada Lil Yachty & Remi Wolf. The Getaway Shows are on-sale Friday, June 2 at 10 a.m. local time at gorillaz.com.” For now, Gorillaz will be performing in Los Angeles on September 10, Austin on September 13, Chicago on September 16 and Boston on September 19.

You can expect to see the cartoon band on the screen while co-founder and musician-slash-producer Damon Albarn plays live music.

In February, Gorillaz released their eighth studio album, Cracker Island, which includes collabs with Bad Bunny, Tame Impala, Thundercat, Stevie Nicks and more.
