Musician Janelle Monáe announced their upcoming album The Age of Pleasure – tapping a new side of their sexuality.

On stage at a performance, Monáe traded in their dapper suit and freed the nipple. Tapping a new era of pleasure, Monáe announced “Titties out for the next 15 years. 😝


The artist came out as nonbinary and shared they/them pronouns in 2022. Since then, the artist has transitioned from their usual masc-leaning looks. Of course, Twitter has gone berserk, confused as to how the artist could make such a switch.

However, Monae has always advocated for sex-positivity. In their interview with Genius they discussed the song “PYNK” and its impact. “PYNK is a brash celebration of creation. Self-love. Sexuality and pussy power!”

Monáe is set to release their album The Age of Pleasure on June 9.
