John Geiger Drops Latest Gf-01 in a Colorful Mismatch Dubbed “What The”
Paying homage to the designer’s entire GF-01 line.
Over the years John Geiger has released multiple versions of his highly sought after GF-01. What started as an approachable silhouette drop in 2020 has grown into the footwear designer’s most popular shoe, gaining the attention of powerhouse brands like Nike. In his latest sneaker release, the Miami-based designer presents a collision of his past GF-01 iterations dubbed “What The.”
Expressed boldly by its name, the sneaker is a mismatched construction of Geiger’s annual work blended into a unified whole. “What The” features a colorful and textured blend of design elements from bright colorways, materials and patterns. The mash-up is sealed with the GF-01’s iconic cursive G, reaching from the midfoot to heel. Pristine white rubber rests on the midsoles and outsoles, creating a jarring juxtaposition with the colorful upper body.
Including three lace variations in white, green and orange, ”What The” GF-01 is available now for $200 USD on John Geiger’s website.
