Lana Del Rey Channels Multiple Hollywood Icons in New Music Video for "Candy Necklace"
Including Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Short.
Lana Del Rey released a new music video for “Candy Necklace” in which she channels several Hollywood icons.
The 10-minute visual shows del Rey transformed as Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Short, to name a few. Throughout the video, she transforms into other famous women from different decades. “Candy Necklace,” which features Jon Batiste, is the first single off Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd to get a music video. However, the track is the fourth single off the album, which she dropped in March.
She sings in the chorus, “You’ve been actin’ pretty restless/ Dancin’ like the young and restless/ And I’m obsessed with it/ Candy necklaces/ You’ve been actin’ pretty reckless/ Dancin’ like the young and restless/ And I’m obsessеd with this/ All his candy necklaces.”
