'Squid Game' Star Hoyeon Jung Walks Louis Vuitton's Pre-Fall 2023 Show

For its Pre-Fall 2023 showcase, Louis Vuitton took to the streets of Seoul, swapping its typical Parisian setting for South Korea. Tapping local talent to spread its message, the French fashion house joined forces with Squid Game‘s director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, to act as the show’s creative advisor.
It comes as no surprise then, that actor-slash-model Hoyeon Jung would feature on the runway, opening the show in a vibrant blue jacket, paired with a studded leather skirt and chunky black combat boots. Completing the runway opener, the look boasted a seemingly patent red bag.
Marking a new era in the brand’s relationship with South Korea, the showcase also featured a partnership with the Korea Tourism Organization, in a bid to boost the country’s tourism and in turn, its economy. Elsewhere, the womenswear collection comprised travel-themed pieces through checkerboard prints, relaxed tailoring and sporty motocross-inspired silhouettes.
