Papier x The Met Launch Art Nouveau Stationery Collaboration

Filled with foiled, floral-inspired notebooks.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has joined forces with Papier to release a first-of-its-kind stationery collection.

Taking inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement as 20th-century designer, illustrator and author Margaret Neilson Armstrong’s book covers serve as a creative North Star. Papier reimagines the museum’s archives, capturing the abstracted natural shapes as paper gouache prints, taking eight to fourteen hours to make by hand.

Chief Product Officer Molly Park shares, “With motifs from the natural world — lush plants, creeping vines and fluid florals, these covers create worlds of their own, reflecting the freedom of the Art Nouveau movement we paired this with other historical references to come up with our collection. We wanted the covers to reflect this magic — the beautiful covers of The Met collaboration open to reveal pages of possibility inside.”

The collection is comprised of daily, mid-year and wellness planners, alongside lined notebooks with an abundance of foiled elements, resulting in shimmering writing essentials that “activate joy and spark creativity.”

Take a look at Papier x The Met’s collaboration in the gallery above, which is available on the brand’s website. The collection retails $31 — $41 USD.
