BLACKPINK's Jennie Seemingly Saves 'The Idol'...
After Episode 2, viewers request less Tedros and more Dyanne…
HBO Max’s The Idol has stirred intense controversy in the past few months but it appears the show has one redeeming quality: BLACKPINK‘s Jennie Ruby Jane.
In the sophomore episode of the series, Dyanne (played by BLACKPINK’s Jennie) steals the spotlight — literally. Despite not having much screen time and making short appearances, Dyanne’s short time on screen is seductive and villain-esque as she proves she’ll do whatever it takes to make her way to “the top.”
Ironically, those who have vowed not to tune into what Rolling Stone referred to as “twisted torture porn,” are apologizing to Jennie for not being able to tune into its poor acting. And the irony doesn’t end there. The same scene where Jennie dominates, fans found the portrayal of f Tedros‘ (played by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye) cult to be cringe, ultimately solidifying Jennie as the series’ saving grace.

I definitely didn’t expect to see Jennie playing a villain in the show. But I love it.#TheIdol #TheIdolHBO pic.twitter.com/GDMj3oGuHb

i think the good thing about the idol is jennie and the music all the production (photography color grade etc ) other than this is questionable 😅

Jennie being the villain in the idol is literally so fucking hot- like I don’t know what it is about Jennie but she makes such a good villain, I’m so excited to see her character development, Jennie and lily really are the only two reasons I’m watching that show 🫠
