Hysteric Glamour Unveils Special Edition Tees for Nakahira and Moriyama Exhibition

Coinciding with the opening of “Provocative Relationship=MORIYAMA Daido×NAKAHIRA Takuma” at the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama.

HYSTERIC GLAMOUR has launched an exclusive t-shirt collection to commemorate the upcoming exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama, featuring the works of renowned photographers Takuma Nakahira and Daido Moriyama. The exhibition honors the lasting impact of both photographers on Japanese photography and explores their unique relationship.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Hayama, the showcase delves into Nakahira and Moriyama’s distinct photographic expressions developed over five decades, offering a fresh perspective on their profound influence on the art form in Japan.

Curated in collaboration with the exhibition, HYSTERIC GLAMOUR’s set of t-shirts is adorned with prints sourced from showcased photobooks. One t-shirt combines an image from Farewell Photography, merging a report of the Shimoyama Incident in 1949 with a photograph taken at a supermarket in Aoyama. The second t-shirt features a print from the final series of sea imagery in Kitarubeki kotoba no tame ni (For a Language to Come).

These limited edition t-shirts are priced at ¥15,400 JPY (approximately $110 USD) and are available exclusively through HYSTERIC GLAMOUR. The release coincides with the exhibition titled “Provocative Relationship=MORIYAMA Daido×NAKAHIRA Takuma,” scheduled to run from July 15 to September 24 at the Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama.
