Streetwear Icon Hiroshi Fujiwara's Personal Collection Goes Under the Hammer at Sotheby's
Featuring over 50 rare pieces across fashion, art and collectibles.
Sotheby’s has collaborated with Japanese musician, producer and streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara to present a special auction, showcasing some of his rarest personal belongings. Named after Fujiwara’s 2009 book PERSONAL EFFECTS, the event offers over 50 lots encompassing fashion, art and collectibles.
Coinciding with Sotheby’s 50th anniversary in Asia, the “Personal Effects: Hiroshi Fujiwara” collection provides a chance to acquire vintage and collectible items from the streetwear figure. Among the lots, there are Air Jordan 1s and Nike collaboration prototypes, alongside other sought-after pieces from the realms of luxury bags, watches from brands like Goyard, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Patek Philippe and even Leica cameras.
A standout piece is an original 1930s Levi’s 506XX jacket, considered the benchmark for vintage reproduction denim. Anyone can bid on an original 1985 pair of Air Jordan 1 “Royal” and prototype versions of Fragment Design x Nike Dunks, Air Force 1s and Air Jordan 3s.
Bidding for the “Personal Effects: Hiroshi Fujiwara” collection is open on Sotheby’s website until July 26.
