Nike Sets Sail With Air Max 1 G "Sea Glass"
Because sometimes mermaids need sneakers.
Nike must be feeling the summer vibes as the often imitated but never duplicated brand has just unveiled its newest Air Max 1 G in “Sea Glass.”
Inspired by the oceanic material, the sneaker arrives covered in the light green hue, resting on a thick Air unit outfitted in translucent green. A pale mint mesh base comprises the forefoot, whereas hits of soft gray touch the quarter panels, overlays and tongue tabs.
Meanwhile, a deep black appears on the mudguard and Swoosh, grounding the shoe’s design. A speckled midsole adds dimension, while the color-blocked outsole unites the sneaker’s aquatically inspired aesthetic. “Sea Glass” washes up on the eyelets, toe caps, Nike Air logos and insoles.
