Not long after LOEWE topped the Lyst Index for Q2 and found its logo tank top in this season’s hottest products, Saint Laurent has entered the tank top game by releasing its very own iteration — only theirs is half the price.
Retailing for £375/$550 USD, Saint Laurent’s version — dubbed the Cassandre Tank Top — arrives in a creamy off-white color with a thick black embroidered logo at the center of its chest. Crafted from organic cotton, the semi-sheer, ribbed tank top features a round scoop neck and thin straps and looks like it carries a bit more weight than its pricier counterparts.
Likely to be compared to LOEWE’s version alongside Prada’s, which actually launched first, the new tank seemingly signals Saint Laurent’s move into the quiet luxury trend sphere, and proves that high quality basics are here to stay.
