If you’ve missed the hype, hit dating series The Bachelor has tapped into a new demographic: seniors. Instantly, viewers questioned the moment wondering if the series would stick to its hiring-of-models-roots and with yesterday’s reveal, we can indeed confirm, yes.

Meet Gerry Turner, a 71-year-old bachelor from Indiana. According to Twitter, he “looks like he was created in a lab” and viewers are eating up every minute. His introduction video might have had something to do with that though, suggesting that “He posts his DMs in a leather-bound album… he doesn’t have grey hair, he has wisdom highlights,” and of course, “Florida wants to retire and move to him.”
Ironically, younger fans, once opposed to age gap relationships as a trend, teased and asked where they could join. At the same time, “Golden Bachelor casting” remains trending on Google Trends. Unfortunately for younger fans, however, the show appears to be casting women 65 years old and up.
