Clare Waight Keller Reveals Uniqlo Collaboration
Old Money on a budget.
British fashion designer Claire Waight Keller is joining forces with Uniqlo, unveiling “UNIQLO:C.”
Adding herself to the brand’s esteemed roster of collaborators, such as Jil Sander and JW Anderson, Waight Keller’s curated capsule offers timeless, Old Money-core staples for the Fall 2023 season. “I wanted to bring the essence of what I do: fluidity, movement, femininity — those were really key,” Waight Keller told Vogue. “But I also wanted to bring my sort of British sensibilities — the fact that I’ve always loved a little bit of this boy-meets-girl style, and the idea of attitude dressing.”
The 30-piece collection features classic trench coats, fall-ready plaid parkas, alongside knit sweaters, spacious corduroy slacks and ombre pleated maxi skirts , arriving in a rich color palette of blush pinks, mustards and navy blues. Elsewhere, sleek combat boots and practical caps bulk up the accessories category.
The collection exudes refinement, delivering garments for a variety of occasions. “The letter C … captured a lot of the things that I was talking about: people commuting living in the city, the fact that there is a real clarity to the palette and this idea of casual, but also a sort of cheekiness,” Waight Keller adds.
Claire Waight Keller’s UNIQLO:C will make its global debut in-store and online on September 15.
