New Balance Numeric Debuts Its Very Own 480 Silhouette
This one’s for the skaters.
New Balance Numeric aims to carve out a new path for the brand’s sport-oriented silhouettes and growing roster of skaters. Since its inception, Numeric has taken upon itself to refresh and revive numerous archival NB silhouettes and now, the sport-focused division is turning its hand to the classic 480.
Previously released with a basketball-centric audience, once designed in collaboration with Junya Watanabe, the new 480 has been redesigned and redeveloped for lengthy skate sessions. Crafted with a reinforced toe cap and FuelCell foam-backed sole unit, the sneaker features a mix of suede, leather and synthetic detailing across its upper.
Landing in “Navy” and “Rust” colorways, the shoe features the primary shade across its upper with hits of white and maroon on its tongue.
