Prada SS27 Was An Ode to the Skirt
Attended by the likes of Sadie Sink, Hunter Schafer and Maya Hawke.
The skirt is a Prada obsession, at least according to this season’s show notes. For Spring/Summer 2027, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons revolved their collection around one of fashion’s most transformative garments. Reimagined through both material and counterpart, the skirt was presented with crystal embroideries, decorative crinoline layers and organza outer shells.
In terms of their pairings, the variations showcased how this affects our perception of an outfit. Worn alongside thick sweaters, structured shirts and bra tops, SS27 showed the difference these pairings can make, and how we make these choices every time we put an outfit together.

As for the color palette, SS27 seemed to favor vivid colors like pink, yellow and green, pairing them with classic counterparts like black or grey. Despite the bra-based looks, the collection felt a little party on the bottom, business on the top, teaming floaty tutu-style skirts and embellished alternatives with plain coats, leather jackets and jumpers.
Attended by friends of the brand like Hunter Schafer and Maya Hawke, the showcase also saw the likes of Sadie Sink, John Glacier and Camila Mendes in attendance, once again taking place at the signature Fondazione Prada.
