Nia Archives Stars in Dr. Martens’ New Campaign

Part of the “boots like no other” series, dedicated to the 1460.

Dr. Martens is a heritage brand with deep cultural roots. Though originally designed as a work boot, it became a symbol of rebellion and individuality in the ’60s and ’70s, embraced by British subcultures like punk rockers and skinheads. Over time, the brand has expanded its influence across various subcultures, transforming into a beloved household name.

Its connection to music remains as strong as ever, and as proof, the brand enlisted record producer and DJ Nia Archives as the face of its iconic 1460 silhouette in the “Boots Like No Other” campaign.

“I wore Dr. Martens every day in school from age 13,” Nia shared in a press release — a sentiment many can relate to. “I don’t know if my music inspirations inform my style but they certainly go hand in hand with how I express myself,” she adds.

In the campaign, directed by Rawtape, Nia enters a store where store clerk Danny Dyer shows her three different shoe boxes: each containing a different facet of Nia’s personality, sound and style. The common thread? The 1460, of course. Like the boot, Nia embodies the brand’s rebellious, boundary-pushing spirit, playfully brought to life in the video.

Commenting further on the boot, Nia called the 1460 her “current shoes for all live shoes and general day-to-day living,” adding that she likes to pair them with jeans and a Chopova Lowena skirt alike.
