Collina Strada FW24 Celebrates Femininity in All Its Forms

Featuring inclusivity, model mothers and collaborations with UGG and PUMA.

New York-based label Collina Strada presented its Fall/Winter 2024 collection at New York Fashion Week this season, with another inclusive runway show that celebrated the power of femininity. Titled “Stronger,” the collection invited guests into “Collina’s Gym” to showcase a space where “inner feminine power” presides.

“With women constantly passed over for power positions, the femme body and mind have long been shaped by the imagination of men. It’s about time we re-sculpted that meat-headed vision into something closer to the reality of femininity something altogether sweatier yet more refined,” explains Collina’s show notes.

Celebrating the “flex” that is femininity, the collection juxtaposed oversized, “beefy” silhouettes with elegant twists, complemented by a collaboration with UGG which saw the classic shoe crafted from corn leather.

WHERE: Collina Strada’s FW24 took place at the iconic Rockefeller Center.

WHO: Indigenous activist and model Quannah Chasinghorse made her Collina debut in the show, while Aaron Phillips walked the runway for a fifth time. Collina regular Tommy Dorman appeared sitting at the show (instead of walking, for the first time in four seasons). As always, there was a lot of diversity as two older women, a curve model and pregnant model took to the runway, alongside and one model holding a baby.

SEE: As explained in the show notes, the collection emphasized the concept of “muscle,” drawing inspiration from fitness workouts and adding a fashionable twist. Models held dumbbells made of pumpkins, while “sweaty” glam added to the athletic aesthetic. Elsewhere, the collection debuted footwear collaborations with UGG and Puma.

TOUCH: Seemingly drawing inspiration from retro fabrics, FW24 fused delicate chiffons and silky satin with heavy velvet and hand-painted denim.

HEAR: The showcase was soundtracked by a signature Collina Strada audio mix, completed by Hillary Duff’s iconic “So Yesterday” to close the show.

TASTE: It’s official. Inclusivity is officially the standard and anything below it? It just won’t do. Not anymore.
